MISSION

JustStand.org is a modern-day revolution.

JustStand.org is deeply committed to educating and influencing people around the world to take action against one of the most unanticipated health threats of our time – our increasingly sedentary lifestyles.

We work to provide the critical information and comprehensive resources our global society needs to foster environments – in our offices, our schools and our homes – that support healthier lifestyles through the simple act of movement.

Building upon a strong foundation of scientific research and partnerships, JustStand.org is leading the uprising (literally and figuratively) to sit less, stand up and move more.

Our Story

Our Story

JustStand.org was established in 2010 by Ergotron, Inc., a leading provider of sit-stand workstations and ergonomic technology furniture and mounts that promote healthier, more productive environments for life and work.

The initial goal of JustStand.org – which still holds true today – is to close the gap in public knowledge about the dangers of excessive sitting and to motivate individuals, businesses and organizations to develop a healthier future.

Our efforts to drive social change are focused on three key pillars:

RESEARCH

To understand and support new research around the many risks of prolonged sitting, from physical and mental health to productivity in the workplace.

ENGAGEMENT

To bring together the research community, influencers, organizations and the public to uncover the issues surrounding sedentary lifestyles while creating solutions.

ACTION

To continuously develop resources, tools and products that will inspire action to sit less and move more.
