A Discussion About The New Book, Get Up!

PowerPoint Presentation from Webinar Now Available
Dr. Levine presented concepts underpinning his new book in a 2014 ErgoExpo™ Webinar: In today’s chair-based world, the heart of the problem is how our modern world forces us to sit in nearly every aspect of our lives. Drawing on decades of research conducted in his Mayo Clinic lab, Dr. Levine reveals the effects sitting has on our bodies and minds.
  • The science behind sitting and its connection to weight gain and obesity
  • Our network of brain chemicals and its power to keep us in our chairs or propel us out
  • How sitting-predisposed brains can cause muscles to become sedentary
  • Forced inactivity and how it hinders young children’s learning abilities – and much more!
